need budget digicam $200-, help me decide :)

Well, im looking for a budget digicam to take on my trip to NY.

I've widdled it down to these two choices, unless you guys have better deals

Fuji 2650 - $154 newegg

pros: cheaper, less batteries, small
cons: uses XD memory

Canon A60 - $204 newegg

pros: better reputation? uses compact flash (already have 32mb card)
cons: lil' bigger, more expensive

which should i go for? i think after i bought an additional mem. card for the Fuji, i'd be at about the same price as if i just got the Canon.

What do you think? any other deals going on? Need to order this week

Canon A60 - $204 newegg for sure. I've had the Canon A40 and now I have the A70, great picture quality with tons of features.

Get the cannon, IMHO it's well worth the difference. The camera is better and you'll save at least that much when you go to buy a large storage device. I just got a 512 CF card for $70 shipped AR.

the fuji is definitely a better deal for you, i think you can score a 128mb xD card around $60? or just get 64mb since they give you 16mb FOC. That should be enough for 2mp camera.

Amazon has the 2650 for $170, free shipping and free 32MB xD card.

I've got the 2650 and I like it a lot. It's easy to use and it takes very good quality pictures.
However, I'd say it's a little weak in low-light situations (the flash isn't great) so if you will be taking mostly indoor photos I'd go with the Canon.

id say about 50% will be indoor, is the canon much better with lowlighT?

Yes. Unlike the Fuji, it has a low-light assist lamp. Also Canon's flashes are better from what I've read.
The Fuji does fine in normal indoor conditions, the flash just does not fill well enough when there's very little ambient light.

so far im leaning towards the a60 for better indoor pics + cheaper media that will make up the cost diff.
