Ok guys, I only need a explanation on this.
I have to do a poetry anthology.

and one of the requirement is to write an introduction of one half page which "sets up" your collection. I don't quite understand what it means by sets up, and what type of introduction should I have?

Second question is it says write a dedication. I have no clue what it mean either.

Helps needed.

Um, well, I guess talk about what sort of themes your poems touched upon, what common stuff they deal with (or a lack of common theme).. stuff like that.

The dedication.. did you write the poem for someone else? addressed to someone else? etc. etc.

But I am required to have 5 poems. Do I put all different idea of theme into the introduction? Or have seperate paragraphy on each?

I would assume so. Only 1/2 page, so you kinda have to do that. Think of something that can link all 5 themes together, and talk about each poem briefly in regard to that one thing.

ya, you got that one right. The assignment was handed out while ago. I didn't even look at the handout. I thought it was very easy. Cu'z the teacher said only 5 poems needed. But I didn't realize there are more catchs to it. Need bunch of other stuff included as well.

*sigh* you do homework last-minute folks erks me... reminds me too much of myself!

Anyways, what else do you have to do?

* Like I have to showcase them visually. COnsider font, color and illustrations of enhance both the looks and the theme of my works.
* Write a Dedication.
* Introduction.
* Write a brief note for each poem, which explains the effectiveness of a technique used.

The wrost thing is I haven't even started any poem yet.

ooooookayyyy.... j@cko I'd thought you would be smarter than this, than starting this project the night before it's due! Dude, writing poems ain't easy..

sounds like a good start.
