my frend is thinking of upgrading to a 9800xt but i told him that a x800 pro would be better, for about the same price. can someone give me a link to benchmarks so i can show him.
 
that article is 3 months old.

There has to be something else out there using newer drivers.

Heck they didnt even compare the GT. If you read the article it is noted that at the time of the writing Nv had not finalized the specs for their $399 offering.
 
Check BensBargains for a good deal on the X800P and a 128/256MB (can't remember) SD card. ~$340 for the X800P (you can sell the SD card), IIRC. 9800XTs still sell for $300+, no?
