Have a house party to go to in a few hours. I'd like beer recommendations. Preferably something I haven't drank before. Off the top of my head, I've consumed the following:

Carlsberg
Heineken
Warsteiner
Stella
Coors Light
Budweiser
Rickards Red
Guiness
Dos Equis
Brahamas
Moosehead
Canadian
Amsterdam
Sleeman
Wellington

And a few others. I'm not a huge fan of dark beer so please keep that in mind.

I don't know what is available in Canada.

Actually,

Smithwicks (Smiticks) is really good. It is a dark-er beer but very light in taste. That should be available in Canada.

If you want something you've had before, why do you need our recommendations? ;)

I will suggest Beck's or Bass

Damnit. I suck. I stand by my suggestions, because they're not on your list. :)

Tyskie is something I just tried the other night in a European Sampler pack. It was pretty good.

I don't htink bringing a good beer to a party is being a snob. But if you bring good beer, and someone passes you a Light beer then you put your nose up. that is a beer snob.

Hmmm, haven't tried Sam Adams yet? Their winter lager is pretty good. Kinda has a citrus taste to it that I like.

I was going to try this one but I couldn't get the Chappelle skit out of my head so I decided against it. I didn't want to look like the retard who would laugh at every sip.

I love this Stuff. This is a man's beer. It is not light or close to it. Great change for people who drink crappy watery beer but it might be too thick for their tastes.

Hah... 99% of the time I drink Miller Lite. I suggested Beck's and Bass because they're close enough to cheap American beer without the cheap American beer stigma. :D

Call me crazy, but I prefer the taste of Miller Lite over all of the higher end beers and snob beers I've had.
