My Machine

What I need/want:
Hardware- I'm pretty open to any ideas, much prefer a device I can store 9gb or more to a single piece of media though(likely to be a tape drive I suppose?)
Software- Something easy to figure out and use and that will allow me to specify directories from multiple drives.

Thanks for any help!

Tape drive is the way to go for massive amounts of data on a single source but if you can do one spap then maybe a DVD ram drive and copy of Veritas Backup Exec Desktop would do. With compression one dvd ram media could store aprox 8 to 9 gb of data. One word of caution though go to the veritas site www.veritas.com and check out there approved list of dvd ram drives that are tested to work with this software!

Good luck

Hmmmm, didn't know DVD-Ram could be had for under $500.

I'll have to pay more attention, thanks for the info!
