Need assistance with An AP issue

SO i have a cleint that uses the cisco WRVS4400N router and woould like to add a few access point through out the office. So i purchased the WAP4410N access points. they were easy to configure, and i tested them connected to switch in the same room, with them setup as default Ap mode, changed the SSID. added WPA2, etc. worked beautifully. i take them to the spots in which i would like to place them hook them up, and now they are not broadcasting the SSID?????? i tired numerous devices to try and locate the SSID but no avail. I then rebooted them multiple times. i was able to get the ssid listed on one of my laptops, but once i connected the connection speed was like 1mps. so i took them back to the server room, and hook it up and there is no issue......after multiple attempts with these im at a loss. any suggestions?

As a long shot.

AP to Switch needs crossover cable. If the Switch or the AP have No MDX port, than you have to do something external about it.
