I am getting this to hook up to my lcd.
If you notice on there, there are two rca jacks for sound, I have a creative xfi and I wanted to know how i would go about getting sound to my speakers. I have the vanilla xfi so no live drive to plug the rca cables into. I have looked around circuit cities website for something that might work cheap and i found zip. Thanks for any thoughts.

What kind of speakers do you have? To get more than just stereo, you'd want to use the optical output from the 360.
Hmm... actually... can you apply CMSS to the line-in? :p

To hook it up to the line-in on your card, you just need an adapter.

The cable comes with a little rca to 1/8 adapter that should allow you to pipe the sound into your computer through a line in.

Are you positive? I only ask because i didnt see that mentioned anywhere.

As for yoyoyo, i use the klipsch 4.1's. Not the best speakers any more but they work good. Another prob is im using vista now :D, dunno how cmss will react.

I looked around for a minute or two on the CMSS feature and although I didn't get a "for sure" answer, I think that you might not be able to apply it to line-in.

If you don't mind just having 2.1 for the 360, the line-in should work fine. You could potentially split the 360's stereo output so you get stereo coming out the front and the same stereo sound coming out the rears, but that's not really going to enhance your "surround experience" or anything since it's just going to be stereo x 2. Also, in order to do this you'd have to get a bit messy on the wiring so maybe just stereo would be the way to go.

There is an adapter 100% sure. I have the same cables setup the same way through my PC, so i can plug my xbox into the vga in my monitor, and the computer runs through DVI, with the sound through the computer everythigns a breeze to use. Just make sure the line in channel is turned up in your audio settings, mine was defaulted to mute and took me awhile to find the problem.
