I am redoing some web pages for my works website. Clicking on File -> Save does not save the web page properly with the formatting. Is there a freeware application out there which I can download which does a better job in downloading an entire webpage? Thanks.

If you are editing web pages, you need to use an FTP program.

1. FTP to download
2. ***MAKE A BACKUP COPY**** DO IT! NOW! NOW! NOWWWWWW!!!!!!!
3. Make changes
4. FTP to upload

Thanks but basically the web team is busy and so I am doing some of the web pages for a product we are launching. Unfortunately, only web team has rights to log onto the server to make changes to web pages. So I basically do the pages and give it to web team. So I can't FTP. But thanks for the suggestion.

I will try WinHTTrack :)

It won't work unless the pages are just static .htm or .html.

If they use server-side includes (.shtml) or are script / code pages (.asp, .pl, .cgi, .php, etc.) you can only use a non-FTP program to download the results not the souce page.

There have been threads on this subject (static pages) that provided a varity of options.

They will probably be in the archive sections.

Use the search function to dig them out.
