I need to pick up a CMOS battery for a computer at work on my way there. I'm going to stop at Radio Shack and I need to know what the battery type is called. Can anyone help?

I'm going to leave in 30 minutes, so I need an answer quickly!

I dunno, actually, it's an older one... I though all CMOS batteries were the same?

Its just a regular battery....sorta like the ones they use in certain watches and like the automatic car door openers. Just bring the old battery in and they should be able to fit it with the correct model/size.

no, they are not... especially older ones.

I've used motherboards that take AA batteries!!!

Is it a button shape at least? Approx. size?

Any info you can provide?

It isn't necessarily the CR2032....
The CR2032 is a very common battery, so if you want to take a guess, go for it, but be aware that it may not work.

Yeah, datallah, I know what you're talking about, I've seen really old models take AA batteries, but that was a 386. This machine was born with windows 98, so it can't be THAT old.
