ok... so i got an lian li and its been sitting for about 1-2 years now. i figured its about time to start using it. then i remembered there's no ps unit on it.

so who makes a good one? (haven;t been keeping up with psu these days...dont know jack!)

so there's:

raidmax
antec
zalman (noise free?? is this possible?)

i eventuall want to run raid, a 2.5 or above cpu, rip dvds, use as an htpc. any recommendations?

thanks

Those are good. I have a nice 431w Enermax, it's very quiet and looks good on my black case with its gold polished fan grill.

Check out silentpcreview.com for reviews on quiet PSUs. I have a 300w QuietPC (Q-Technology) PSU that is very quiet. It's a single fan unit. They also make higher wattage PSUs. I've also heard good things about Nexus for quiet PSUs. I have an Antec True430 and it's pretty damn quiet.

Here's a vote for the Antec TruePower series PSUs. They are awesome. I'm running a TP330 in an Antec case with two stock Antec fans, the Intel stock fan on a P4 1.8A@2.61GHz and a Barracuda IV 80HDD and my computer is silent.

I have an Antec TP350 and it is pretty quiet. I believe my cas fans make more noise than the PSU.
