lol i did search the threads but didn't see a previous thread with these guidelines, so i'll pick your brains and lean on your experiences.
Son is in the military and needs a laptop. Primary use will be gaming, with light net use and possibly some video conferencing. He still likes to play the old Rome Total Warfare, along with COD2, and might get back into WoW. In all probability he won't be running much on battery (so battery life isn't critical), but i'm not solid on that. We're looking around the $1k mark, but he realizes you get what you pay for so......... On the down side, i'm pretty sure the "abuse" potential for bumps and bangs on this laptop will be high.
