As titled, Im capturing mpeg2 files from my TV card, and want to edit out the commercials before i use Vidomi to encode them in Xvid. Anyone have any ideas?

why would you capture in mpeg2 only to compress with xvid?

mpeg2 is for dvd and SVCD. so .. most of the times you need to pay for hte licenses or pay the program who has to pay for the license.

just use mpeg1 and then compress.
