should clarify that this is allowed at work. the new ICQ Lite is full of ads that I want gone, anything similar to MSN's msgplus? boss protection is a plus, but not necessary

Nope, it's fine.. everyone runs MSN on their computers. Just want something with no ads, it makes the window huge. Msgplus is for MSN, just wondering if there's anything for ICQ out there.

Nice detective work by the way. 🙂

Hm, just wondering since you specifically mentioned "boss protection."
And yes, I'm rather proud of my ability to click a single link in another user's profile. 😛

Thanks to RossMAN 😉
I'm running a 1024x768 (max resolution) monitor, and icq is obtrusive sometimes. so I just want it gone while I work on one part of the file, then maximise to get any messages.

GAIM is a possible option too. It can connect to ICQ, MSN, Yahoo and a couple more. I use it for ICQ and MSN messaging
