The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'shenders@starpower.net'. Subject 'ggg', Account: 'pop.starpower.net', Server: 'smtp.starpower.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 relaying to <shenders@starpower.net> The part , Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79 Maybe someone can help. I am running Win 2k and all of a sudden I start getting this message when I try to send mail. I can receive fine but nothing is sent out. The part prohibited by administrator' is what is different from any error mssg if have received before.I am the administrator of the machine. Has anyone run into this before? Thanks for any help

Are you connecting to your outgoing mail server (SMTP) thru SSL? If so, make sure your password is correct and that everything is configured correctly on the server side. Other than that, I would talk to the admin of the SMTP server to see whats up.

Do you get that message when sending to ANY email? Or only if you send to shenders@starpower.net ?

If its for every email,
In account properties make sure the Email address for the account is a valid one or you probably won't be able to send email properly.

Make sure whether you are or are not and check if you have it checked or not. I have had the same problem before, unchecking that made everything alright.

No, he isn't :
"The part , Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error "

You can try installing to the latest SP1 or SP2 of IE 6.0 and internet tools at Microsoft downloads
That will update your Outlook Express.

Under tools .. accounts .. mail tab... properties .. what is your email address set to?
