ha, only thing I'd have to say is if you put beans it in and don't call it Chili with BEANS you should be punched in the throat because what you made isn't real Chili.

you anti-beans-in-Chili people are ridiculous. That's all that can be said about that.

Yep. I don't know where they get the idea that chili should not have beans. It was a food cooked far away from easy sources of food . People did not carry meat with them because it spoiled easily but dried beans keep forever and so do dried chili peppers and you can always find a rabbit for some added meat .

it's the same as trying to claim there is some proper way to cook a pizza. the concept of pizza was born from the need to do something with all the leftovers from the actual meal. Like the origins of Chili, pizza came from the "lets throw some shit together and cook it" mentality. To try and put hard and fast rules into that is just ignorant.

Now BBQ, on the other hand...that is serious business. 😉

so how would you feel if I invited you over for Pizza and gave you 3 slices of White Pizza? I can't push White Pizza as Pizza because people would go WTF. Chili with beans is fine, but the beans need to be disclosed, because it's not chili, it's something else.

so you didn't read my pizza comment??? it's the same damn concept: conjuring hard rules, years after the fact, no less, for a product that was founded on the idea of "randomly tossing in whatever is available" is stupid.
