Need an April Fools idea that can get two people at once, I have a framework already

OK, here's what I'm trying to do. There are 4 people involved. There's me and three friends, call them Robert, Chris, and Joe.
I'm going to tell Joe and Robert that we are going to play a great April Fools joke on Chris. I'm also goin to tell Chris and Joe that we are going to play a great April Fools joke on Robert. So the only people that are in on both sides of it are Joe and I.

I want it to work out so that the whole time Robert and Chris are trying to "joke" each other, and in the end, the joke is on BOTH OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME.

Problem is, I need a joke that will do this for me. I can develop the scheme, but I don't know how to make it work. In designing the joke remember this:

1.) Nobody can get seriously hurt.
2.) I'm willing to go to great lengths to make this work.

Try to make realistic suggestions, and if you guys give me a good idea that I actually pull off, I'll post the story and pics (hopefully) for you guys to laugh over.
 
Perhaps, you should convince each guy to pretend like he's got the hots for the other guy, and kind of hit onto each other. Since they're both going to do it, they will April Fool each other because they won't expect a positive response back. 😉

Now that is a good one! Definitly going to consider that. Chris is actually a girl, so that might me kinda weird, but I'm definitly pulling that on someone.
 
What if Joe talks to Chris and Rob, and all 3 of them pull a joke on you? That'd be even funnier.
Go for the hitting on each other idea. There's nothing anyone else can think of 😛
