I have a Duron 850 on order which will be used with a Asus A7V133 and Globin Win WDK38 Fan/heatsink. I want to run @ 1+Gig and want to know if connecting the L7 bridges will really be necessary? I will of course unlock the L1, but when I put on the heatsink, I don't want to take it off for the L7s. So should I do both before putting ont the heatsink? Thank-you very much, your knowledge is greatl appreciated.

Connecting the L7 bridges isn't necessary if the motherboard will override it and let you use 1.85v anyway.. See if it can, first, and if it can't, then you'll probably want to connect the L7 bridges so it'll default at 1.85v. Good luck getting that 850MHz to run at 1GHz.. It's not very common, but it happens now and then.

What do you mean it won't likely hit a gig???? My Duron600 is running @1050mhz perfectly stable @1.85 volts. The 850 should be able to overclock further since they were made later "week wise" and should have better yields. You should probably hit 1ghz easily provided you have adequate cooling.
