Need AGP card for $200- X800GTO or 6800NU

I'd say get an X800GTO. It will run circles around a locked 6800NU, and will still be marginally faster than an unlocked one.

Of the two you mentioned I'd go for the X800GTO, but if you can wait a few more weeks ths AGP 6800GS should be available around $200 & won't require any mods to be fast, so it will become a better option.

No, the AGP version does not unlock. You're better off going with a 6800 for AGP, since those have about 50% chance of unlocking. But even if it doesnt unlock, it would still be a significant upgrade, and it's not that expensive - around $160 or so.

Abit NF7-s, Barton 2500@2200mhz, 1 gb pc3200. I know this won't play the new games at the highest resolution but if I can make it untell next summer.

All unlocking aside what card would you buy ?

Unlocking aside, the gto is faster on paper. I emphasize because I have yet to see a direct comparison in any benchmark. I'd be interested to see that and would need to before spending the extra $45
