What is this for? Gaming? Are you buying from newegg?

Don't buy a Coolmax PSU. You'd be fine with Corsair CX500 V2 or Antec Neo ECO 520W if you don't want to pay much.

The mobo is probably fine, personally wouldn't pick Biostar though if I had alternatives from Asus, Asrock, Gigabyte, MSI

I would also recommend a different case. NZXT source 210 for $40 offers a bottom PSU mount, more cooling options, and sideways HDD cage. Cooler master HAF 912 for $60 (after rebate; newegg) is in every way superior to the 300

yes this computer is going to be used for gaming. reason why i chose CoolMax PSU is because of the price & u can get more power for less money, do u think that CoolMAx is lacking in quality? are other PSU's better?for the motherboard i chose that one again for the price, i can get other MSI, gigabyte or Asus motherboards for around same price but they have 2 slots for RAM. can u suggest anything better, & im looking for a computer case that is cheap, i dunt care at all about what the case looks like, i just want it to be breathable & cool, plz advise

When dealing with power supplies its usually better to deal with reputable brands Ala antec corsair etc. It seems like you are going for a mid range build and a 500w psu will service your system fine.

Definitely bad quality.
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Coolmax-CUL-750B-750-W-Power-Supply-Review/977/7
Could not deliver rated wattage; it burned and wouldn't power on again :D. "We can’t understand how a manufacturer label a 450 W power supply as a 750 W and get away with it. [...] Even if Coolmax CUL-750B could deliver its promised wattage it would still be a bad product, since its cables are short and it has only four SATA power connectors."

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Coolmax-V-500-Power-Supply-Review/1366/7
Failed voltage regulation (not within limits set by the ATX specification). "The Coolmax V-500 is a textbook example of why you should not buy a USD 20 power supply. [...] A perfect weapon of mass destruction. Stay away."

In that case, you don't want AMD. You want intel.

Here you go (assuming you buy from newegg since u leave no choice :p) --

i5-2400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115074
MSI H67 board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130579

For a video card I'd recommend http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102948 $150 after promo code and rebate

Hey im happy to see someone making an AMD build!:) The last machine I built was an AMD Phenom II x6 1100T I was happy with it!

Have you contemplated waiting for the Bulldozer CPU's? Or buying one of the Phenom II quad cores and saving a few dollars considering they perform just as well for gaming? And then get yourself one of the AM3+ 990FX Motherboards and upgrading to a Bulldozer later down the road?

I would pass over the Biostar! Like lehtv said, you want ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte

What is your budget cap?

I don't know. If this PC is for gaming as you say, you're much better off with Intel i5-2400.

Honeslty if you are going with AMD I reccomend you pay the extra $ and get an AM3+ socket Mobo that way you can upgrade in the future

The extra $50 you pay for getting the 1100T vs the 1055T is not going to do much for performance.. The 1055T OCs to 4.0Ghz just like the rest. Just set the FSB to 250 and your good.

For gaming just get the i5-2400 like lehtv said.

If you still insist on AMD get an AM3 compatible board and a cheap processor to hold you until BD hits. They wont be hella expensive, $350 for the top end one i believe, or maybe less? It may be expensive for a $600 budget but in that case just hold off until your budget goes up lol.

Antec, corsair, xfx for PSU. If that 550w antec is $65, then why not get the XFX Core Edition 650w for $60? Just as good, $5 less, longer lasting (upgrade wise)

I think you should wait for the bulldozer to come out and see how they do...So you could get a AM3+ motherboard and upgrade down the road if money is an issue now. The cheapest six core BD FX6100 is going to cost around 188 dollars and on the high end for the eight core 266$

Maybe im just rooting for the underdogs, but still have a little faith in the Bulldozers!
