Mine is acceptable somewhat stable in 400mhz for ram.
The stable one is around 185 to 190 whats everyone elses?
And, did I do something wrong? I bought my ram sink from
2cooltek.com and I was hoping it can o/c to at least 400 perfect stable
but guess it couldnt take it. Any suggestions? or tips???
Thanks

That is probably what it is going to do don't expect too much.
I used the alpha heatsink compound instead of the pads and get 394 perfectly stable but most people can only go to 375 or 380 so consider yourself lucky.

no way! Anand reporting theirs without heat sink can hit 400! Whereas mine has problem at 400 with alpha heat sink! And mine was hitting around 175 good w/o heat sink. My stable w/heat sink is around 185 to 192.

Vaborta,

Every video card is different regardless of brand name. Unless one company specifically tested each individual card and how well it would overclock, you shouldn't expect any sort of 'pattern' to emerge between creative cards or asus cards or whatever. Just because Anand got a Creative card to 400+ doesn't mean yours will even go 375, simply because components vary so much, and Creative doesn't test these for 'overclockability'. They test them to make sure they work at 333. =)

I own a Leadtek card, which comes stock with a very large heatsink and have heard lots of people overclocking this card. I've had it above 400 without problems, but keep it at 399.

Also remember that Creative probably sent Anand a pretested card that would overclock well, since thousands of people will be viewing his reviews.

But for the average Joe, they smack on whatever ram's lying around just making sure it hits their stock speed. They don't guarantee overclocking and certainly don't recommend it.
