I just bought a Yamaha 20x10x40 IDE burner used off the forums here. Well I install it and it detects fine. So when I get into windows I put in one of my info backup discs and it starts making grinding noises then all of a sudden it pops. Well I take my backup CD out and it had circular scratches on it like its bee rubbing something. It did this twice. Well after the second time it seems to be working fine. I know this ain't normal. Should I ask for a refund if he doesnt have insurance on it(which I think he does)? I am worried it might die on me early down the road?
I am gonna burn something in a min to make sure that feature works. I just don't know if I should ask for my money back? Whats your alls opinions?
