Need advice.

running on WIN2K -or- xp. Which one is better?

How does this system sound? ANY reccomendations would be very welcome. I'm split on waiting for abit to come out with a kt333 mobo. What do you guys think?

Looks good...I wouldn't wait for kt333 boards...Don't seem to be much better...Maybe this will change before chips come to marketplace. Maybe another stepping in the chipset can get a bit better then early reviews. I guess the real selling advantage of kt333 boards are the ata133 support and the usb 2.0 support. Other then that no real performance increase at current time....

Looks very nice. I'd run on XP Pro if I were you. And.. waiting for KT333 is most likely gonna be a waste of time. I've seen gains on benchmarks of 5-10%, which is alright, but I doubt that the difference is gonna be noticable over a nice 266A board. And the price of the KT333 boards is no doubt gonna be high when they debut, as is PC2700 RAM. I'd go for an Epox 8KHA+ or one of the many other 266A flavors out there.

Thats what I thought. I meant to put abit but i was copying and pasting and missed it. The final price from pricewatch came to just under 2000. Is that a good buy or could I get it cheaper. I went for retail boxes when I could.
