I need help. I am 14, and I need a job. Unfortunatly, my parents are unwilling to help, except with stipulations. The job must be withen walking distance, and can't be across the interstate (No Wal-Mart or Kroger). The only places NOT across the interstate are these little shops that line the main streets of small towns, a save-a-lot and a movie theater that is about to go under. Those are about my only choices. (Save for Taco Bell, McDonalds and KFC, which I want to stay away from if at all possible.) I need money, as every teenager does. Any advice?

Hard to get a job as a 14 year old. Try the little shops, they might be more friendly than those corporate giants (McDonalds, Taco Bell) :Q

If all else fails, show a little leg on the corner.

Why, may I ask, are you asking us on how we can find you a job? Since you have obvious limitations (walking distance, etc, etc...), there can't be too many places around you unless you live in a big city. Like downtown NY or something. Check out the shops, post which ones look like the best bets, and apply.

One thing you have against you tho is that you're 14. Hell, I'm 15 and I can't work at Taco Bell or any grody-ass fast food places...

Make a quick resume and go to EVERY small business in the area for a job. Fix computers, make webpages, install software, or cut grass for your neighboors. If all else fails, lock yourself in your room, build a webdesign company from scratch (easy to do nowdays), and spend every remaining minute of your 14 year old life promoting it.
