I've unlocked my CPU... partially. I can use mutipliers 11.0-12.5. After redoing the unlocking 5 times and getting the same results, I am going to live with that. So, my goal is to set multiplier to 11.0 and take the fsb up as high as I can.
Right now, I am at 151fsb x 11.0 = 1661MHz. The reason why I'm stopping here for now, is that When I was at 152mhz fsb, my system started to have short periods (3-10 secs) of freezes during play of Warcraft 3. When I ran 3DMark2001SE (which I had been using for stability), it did fine overnight.
So my question is... should I be using something else to test stability? Prime95? I found it surprising that I was able to run 100 loops of 3DMarks2001SE, and at the same time experience lags during WC3.
Suggestions?
