Need advice with monitor help

So I picked up this Acer 22'' Widescreen a few months ago (August) from TigerDirect for $199. Initially it was great, one dead pixel I could live with, albeit in the middle of the screen. Now in December, I can count 4+ pixels gone, all around the center area. And call me paranoid, I seem to be seeing areas that look as if those pixels are about to go too. So, what are my options? I believe I would have to go through the manufacturer now correct?
