So come July I'm heading to Tahiti/Bora Bora for a week. When I originally booked the flight I had about 2 hours 40 minutes between connections at LAX. Then both airlines(northwest and air tahiti nui) changed the flight times. Now I've only got 1 hour 44 minutes, which honestly at LAX is NOT enough. So I tried calling Expedia and Northwest, both gave me the runaround and INSISTED it was plenty of time and if I absolutely had to change flight it would be at least $175 per person. Ditto for a cancellation. I'm not sure what to do next. I know I need more time for me and my fiance. Any way I can do this without crazy fees??
My other option would be to book a one way flight to LAX and not cancel my northwest flight. Right now I could do that and have like 6 hours layover in LAX and only pay approximately $250-270 dollars....
Anyone have any advice for either way?
