I'm selling some gift cards on CL and I've been contacted by a buyer who wants to pay via PayPal. I stated in the listing that it's cash and carry only, but his response was that he doesn't have cash and wishes to use PayPal instead so he can put it on credit, and he also offered to cover all fees.

I told him PayPal would be fine on one condition, that the giftcard be mailed to him instead of a local meeting and that he pay for shipping and insurance. But, he's unwilling to do so, and wants it done in person only. My concern is that since the deal would be done locally there would be no shipping information, and he could file a chargeback immediately after the swap, and since I'd have no shipping info I'd pretty much be SOL.

Will PayPal cover for me in the event of a local sale? Would copies of our e-mails be enough to prove the deal was done in person rather than through the mail? I don't really wanna go through the hassle of having a hold placed on my account in the event he tries to screw me over afterwards. Should I just pass on the sale, or do you guys think I'll be fine doing this deal in person?
