Need advice/recommendations on this build - esp. PS, RAM, and CPU Cooler

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this thing, but I wanted some advice on a power supply, memory, and a third party CPU cooler.

CPU Cooler:
I've always stuck with Zalman coolers in the past but I'm open to anything that will help with overclocking and help keep the noise down. I'm not going water cooling because I'm trying to keep the cost down as much as possible

RAM:
I want to do 2GB of RAM and I'd like to overclock this thing at least a little bit. I'm eventually moving to Penryn after awhile, not sure if that makes a difference.

Power Supply:
I'll need a power supply that will be able to run this thing with enough overhead to handle SLI and Penryn in the future and not sound like a jet engine. I've always done Antec in the past, but I'm open to any reliable, name brand power supply with good efficiency.

Here is what I've decided on so far, I was going to go quad core but I figured I'd do dual and then switch to quad with Penryn. If you have any advice on this stuff, objections, upgrades, changes, let me know:

Cooler Master Cosmos

EVGA A1 (EVGA says the A1 will be Penryn compatible, if anyone has heard otherwise, I'd like to know)
http://www.newegg.com/product/...p?item=N82E16813188013

8800GTX (looking for lifetime warranty and factory overclock so it doesn't void the warranty)

Intel Core Duo E6750 (sticking with this and moving to Penryn later)

Other Notes:
-I was thinking about getting an X-Fi card as well, but I might just swap my old Audigy2 card over from my old machine, I just need to read up on Vista compatibility with Audigy2 vs X-Fi.
-I will have to get Vista at some point for DX10, not sure if I'll grab the OEM copy with this build because I've heard the OEM version will only allow limited reinstalls or hardware upgrades. In the end I'll be dual booting with XP
-I'm mainly looking to be able to run all the great new games coming out in the next few months. I'm running a 24" Dell LCD so I'm looking to run 1920x1200 res. I know I might have to do SLI to do it reliably down the line, but for now I need to get my foot in the door to run this stuff at all 🙂

Thanks for any help...

you best bet for a cpu cooler is either a thermalright ultra-120 or a tuniq tower 120

for RAM, i believe the best right now is the Crucial Ballistix with the micron-d9 chip

and for a PSU look at the Corsair 620HX, it will be enough for SLI gtx's, and its one of the best power supplies out right now

do you really need a sound card? i suppose i couldnt change your mind because you already have one, but onboard sound is good enough for most people

and a single 8800gtx can handle 1920x1200 resolution fine

I made a few changes based on comments from everywhere I posted. Still open to any and all suggestions but I want to get this thing ordered ASAP so I can get it built and done with. I'm at the "tired of thinking about it" stage of planning and want to move on to the "playing Bioshock" stage 🙂:

Fan/Heatsink - Zalman CNPS9700 (not 100% on this, but it seems like it has less problems with installation and does a great job cooling. Noise seems to be 50/50 depending on the review.)

I linked everything to Newegg, but as for pricing, ZipZoomFly seems to be a little cheaper so I might do half and half based on availability and prices.

Well here is the build that I finally went with. I wasn't sure how quickly I was going with Penryn so I stuck with proc I had and as for the case, everything else I looked at had its pluses and minuses, so I guess I'll find out first hand if I can live with Cosmos' shortcomings. I'll report back with the results:

I bought everything split between NewEgg and ZipZoomFly based on rebates, prices, and shipping costs.

Now if I can just find the peripheral that will allow me to remotely kick Valve in the nuts for making me wait all day to play TF2 and then release it at 11:30pm PST.

The Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme is quite large so make sure it can fit in the case and not block airflow. Its cooling performance is unmatched though.

I think it will fit the case, my only problem is now that I'm reading some threads on the Cosmos saying that its airflow is less than optimal, but so far I haven't been able to find anything with decent airflow, low noise and a dust filter 🙂
