need advice/opinion on new burners

i was wondering what people's thoughts are on the lastest burners. I would like a new burner with at least 24x speed and can burn ALL cd protections. (ie. saferom, safedisc2, etc) I would prob wait for a deal so its around $80 or something but I want one that can CloneCD all CDs, not just some. I heard the new plextors have firmware that can't clone some cds. So, i'm wondering what CDRWs are the best now and can do everything.

Check out the LiteOn 24X10X40. Mine came in a BusLink box. You should find them pretty reasonable. I don't do cd cloning and such, but have heard that this liteon is fairly good at most of that stuff.

Try www.cdrinfo.com If it isn't down.

I'd say TDK. I have one and I burn CD's almost everyday. I haven't had a problem. I've had it for about 6-7 months now and it's doing pretty freekin good. A good thing about it is that Windows automaticaly detects it and you don't have to install anything. As probably with most CD ROMS. Also TDK has the fastest burner out right now. 40X

Teac 24x models can't make 1:1 copys, I know because I made the mistake of buying one. Great CD-RW, but only for music and casual CD-Burning.

I see so many cheap burners and I rarly see problems on the forum with any of them! I personally have a lite-on and I have not yet burned one coaster, I like it!
