Need advice on what to wear to a conference

Its a Cisco Security conference that is just a quick 8am - 12.30pm. Its this Friday, and I think its geared toward IT managers and business managers.

I usually wear a polo and khakis to work. Do I go with the work attire, or is a Shirt / tie more appropriate for this type of event? The only other things I've been to are the Dell tour and an MS Windows XP release event. Both were semi-casual. Some wore shirt / tie, others wore jeans / polo.

Yep. I have several Cisco reps visit me with the same attire, so you will be just fine.
