I would like to route outside air by means of a duct attached to the CPU HSF at one end and the other end running to a cutout on the side panel of the case. The case is a 7237 with 120 mm Panaflo bottom mounted front intake (filtered), a rear mounted exhaust 80 mm, below the Enermax PS. All front bays are in use, with the exception of the mini panel below the floppy. The top of the case is used for paperwork and such and is not available. I want the duct hole on the left side panel. Any ideas on how this could be done so that the duct will allow simple removal of the side panel without pulling the duct loose?

well i can't tell you how to duct it, but if you want it exhausting/intaking from the left panel just attach the ducting so that it's hanging at the cutout on the left panel, that way you can remove the panel :)

Cut the whole, and position the duct a very small distance away from the panel, so they can be removed, but don't lose the purpose of the duct itself.

Basically cut a whole in the side of your case.
Put the fan IN THE DUCT, and make the duct ALMOST touch the side panel.
And properly support the duct (hang it from the top and support from the bottom )

Stiff paper or cardboard circular 2 piece "telescoping" duct. Duct end at left side case panel has "foldable" tabs which match fan mounting screws.

Assembly...Tape duct to HS/Fan, extend duct, fold tabs inwards so they pass thru hole in panel. Mount panel, telescope duct in to suit, fold tabs out and mount fan, which holds duct in place. If/when tabs break, substitute masking tape to suit to hold duct in place.
