Need advice on Refurbrished Laptops

Hi, I'm planning on buying a Sony Vaio PCG-F560 for around $1300 refurbed and wondering how everyone's experiences were with refurbed lappy's. I've never bought a refurbed one before but several used ones off Egay and they worked. And my formerly new Compaq has actually been burned out before and had to be fixed under warranty. So, technically it's refurbed too, right? But it seems to work great. So, wondering what advice I can get on this. Thanks!!!
 
I was going to say something about not risking it - since you can buy a new 610 for less than that. However, after looking at the specs of the 560, I have to say that I would seriously consider buying that. Definetly find out what the warranty on it is though.
