Need advice on painting a case...

I just bought a Palo Alto PA-600 case. I want to paint it black, the problem is this case is plastic. Not only is the front bezel plastic, but the sides and top are made of the same thick plastic.

What would be the best wayto apply the paint? Spray, brush, or something else?
What paint/primer/whatever should I use to paint it black?

I assume it would be different painting plastic than a metal case, but I'm not sure. Any advice would be appreciated. I have no experience in case modding, or painting things for that matter.

For plastic, use vinyl dye. Plasticote sells it. You can get it at almost any local auto supply shop.
