Need advice on optical drive, wireless adapter

Hello! I?m putting together a new gaming rig ? the details are below ? and I still need an optical drive and wireless adapter. What do you recommend? With regards to the drive, I need something reliable, capable of burning dvds, and preferably cheap (<35$). As for the wireless adapter, I will be gaming, so I need something reliable and FAST. The router isn?t too far away - maybe 15 yards, plus walls ? but for a variety of complex reasons I can neither run an ethernet cord nor use an ethernet over electrical outlet system.

Thoughts?

I would recommend any LiteOn DVD burner, but they seem to be OOS at Newegg. Not sure why this is, but just about any DVD burner at Newegg will do. They have good customer service and I haven't had any issues with them. I've listed a pretty good Wireless adapter below. I'd consider getting a Wireless "N" capable adapter, unless your just going to stick with wireless "G" standard.

Cool. Should I worry about using that card w/ 64bit interfaces? The specs say it's a 32bit card, but the reviews suggest it should work anyways... what's the deal?

Also, what do you think of this deal? It's wireless N compatible, but is USB not PCI. Are USB drives slower?

Doesn't look like a problem to me to use it on a 64 bit OS as long as you have drivers, which I'm pretty sure they have them. I don't own that card and I currently don't run on any 64 bit OS'es at the moment.
As far as the deal you found, I don't think USB driven wireless cards are the best. I've used them in the past, but for the range that your going to be at, I think your better off with a PCI card over any USB wireless device. If you stick with just wireless "G" standard and want to spend less than the $28 one that I listed before, try this one for $26 shipped, which is only $2 less than the Wireless "N" one that I linked. It's up to you, but I feel the PCI wireless cards would work better for your range that you want. I do like wireless cards that come with corded antenna's, so you can position the antenna where you get the best signal!
