Need advice on Optical Cables

Guy at Circuit City tried to sell me Monster brand optical cables to hook up into the TV for 50 bucks!!!


Right now I'm using red/white audio cables that kinda suck. Any advice on what to get and where?

so far I've run into three brands on Newegg.com

RCA
Monster

Just go to Walmart and get whatever Toslink they carry. Or get the cheap cables Best Buy has (Acoustic Research I think). It's not going to make a difference.

Anyone trying to say a high priced optical cable will sound different than a low priced one (as long as they are both delivering the 0's and 1's) should go work at Best Buy selling Monster Cable
