Need advice on OCing E6400

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to overclock my E6400, and get a few questions:
1. I am using the ASUS P5W board, and it has a software AIBooster, which could do the OC for me, and I only need to choose from: %5, 10%, etc. Is that save to use this method to get to 30% ,and then do it manually by myself?
2. Since I don't play game, I only have a budge Vcard, (Geforce 6200), so I want to keep
it as stable as possible, how should I do this ?

Finally, could someone please introduce me to a good, detailed OC tutorial that fits my setup ? Googled, just can't get a good one.

Thanks tons.

best

Always do overclocking in the BIOS. There's more adjustments available to you. Many of the adjustments would be common sense.

I picked these settings up from a post I saw somewhere, but they have worked for my 2 E6400 P5W based machines. This gives 3.2 GHz or a 50% overclock

Everything in the bios is set to auto except the following:

Configure System Freq/Volts
CPU Freq: 400
DRAM Freq: DDR2-800
Performace Mode: Standard
PCI-E Freq: 105
PCI Clock Sync: 33.3MHz
Memory Volts: 2.1
vCore: 1.35
vMCH 1.6

In Advanced Chipset Settings I have set my memory to -

Configure DRAM Timing by SPD: Manual
DRAM CAS#: 5
DRAM RAS# Precharge: 5
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay: 5
DRAM RAS# Activate to Precharge: 15
DRAM Write Recovery: 4
Hyper Path 3: Disabled
DRAM Throttling Threshold: Disabled

I had problems with tighter memory timings so these are fairly loose.

You may just want to try these settings straight away rather than increasing the FSB gradually, I would guess you have a 50/50 chance of getting a stable OC from them.
