I am looking to get a simliar board to this one and looking for some suggestions. I had 2 gig og PC2700 DDR, ATI 9700 PRO AIW and a P4 2.53 800FSB on this board. I have been looking at the intel 865 perl k, or the 800 FSB. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

It depends on what cpu you're using. For the 800, the asus p4p8x is a good value, if it has the features you need. Msi makes a via dual channel board, the pt880-neolsr, that was used to overclock a prescott cpu at hardocp, and they recommended it as a good budget board. Newegg has this board refurbished right now for only $35 shipped (without some accessories). The good thing about the via dual channel is that you can run 400 and 533 cpus with the memory at a higher speed, which you can't do with an 865pe board. For example, you can run a 533 cpu with pc3200 memory at 400 speed. It has multiple memory options like some sis boards. I've used many newegg refurb boards, and all posted fine. They come with a 15 day warranty, and if you request the "repair" option, they will usually give you a 100% refund if they are out of stock (which is usually the case if you return one).
