It depends on what cpu you're using. For the 800, the asus p4p8x is a good value, if it has the features you need. Msi makes a via dual channel board, the pt880-neolsr, that was used to overclock a prescott cpu at hardocp, and they recommended it as a good budget board. Newegg has this board refurbished right now for only $35 shipped (without some accessories). The good thing about the via dual channel is that you can run 400 and 533 cpus with the memory at a higher speed, which you can't do with an 865pe board. For example, you can run a 533 cpu with pc3200 memory at 400 speed. It has multiple memory options like some sis boards. I've used many newegg refurb boards, and all posted fine. They come with a 15 day warranty, and if you request the "repair" option, they will usually give you a 100% refund if they are out of stock (which is usually the case if you return one).
