need advice on mobo/cpu/ram

i'm preparing to upgrade my pc with new mobo, cpu, and ram. ideally, i'd like to get a q6600, bump the fsb to 1333, and wind up a 3ghz quad core. this seems to be "automagic" with a e6600 on a p35 board, but i'm getting mixed signals about the ease of oc'ing a q6600.

ramwise, what's your suggestion: ocz platinum ddr2-1066 for $170 ($30 rebate), ocz gold ddr2-1000 for $145 (i hate rebates), or ocz platinum ddr2-800 for $113 ($40 rebate).

i don't care to tweak the system to the max... my only goal is a stable 3ghz.
