Need advice on laptop CPU - i5 2540m vs i7 2630qm

This is an unusual one and I'm having trouble finding good info on the net to help me decide.

I have a laptop with a Core i5 2540m and a video chip equivalent to a Radeon 6770.

My laptops chassis also supports the i7 2630qm and they aren't very expensive any more. That said I'm not sure it's worth it. I'd be considering the upgrade for gaming, but I'm not sure I'm CPU limited considering the video chip.

Thoughts?
