I have a can of freeze spray from Chemtronics from awhile ago. It says its for cooling the pc board, but thats kinda vague. Can someone give me a detailed explanation of where I should use this?

Tells you if a component failed/is failing due to thermal stress. Thats all it does. If a component is running hot, it drops the temp so you can force it to run so you can take readings and troubleshoot. You might be able to use it to chill a CPU for a few sec though. I do alot of electrical work, and I think I have used it twice in my life. Its something you never use when you have it, and don't have it when you need it.

Burnedhardware: can you explain what the hell you are talking about? Ive never heard of anything shortcircuiting because it was frozen. you might get some damage from condensation if it is kept cold long enuf, or with ICs it might be possible to damage them by freezing too fast but short circuit?
