i need a good generator (2 of them actually) to run a large house and a small warehouse. for some reason i think i should get a honda... but really i have no idea which are good/best and where is the best place to buy them. need some advice, thanks :)

these will be responsible for keeping a company running in case of an emergency and will be supplying power to several servers/computers, so needs to provide reliable, quality power

BTW, cat dealerships provide EXCELLENT power failure service through power systems....incase of power failures, they have flywheel generators that will kick on instantly, so you won't even notice a blip in power, if it does indeed go out.

That equipment is mission critical of course, onsite generators that are always refueled by CAT techs.

They also have rental power generators that you can get incase of a bind (you can attach it to a trailer hitch and wheel it where it's needed), that they will also refill for you while in use, depending on what you contract with them.

What's your budget like?

Before you think about which generator to buy, you really should go over the math, calculate how much power you need .... It would be unwise to buy a big 20KW generator when all you need is 5KW, and it would be pretty fruitless to buy a 5KW generator when you need 20KW .... so ... get a meter ... check the power usage of each piece of equipment that you intend to power by the generator .... and then buy a generator that meets all your current needs, as well as projected needs over the next 5-10 years in advance. If you can't do this, then you should consider hiring an electrical engineer to help.
