I'm starting the building of a new computer (mainly for gaming and picture post-processing) and, since it's been 5 years since the last one, I would like some help.

CPU: Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 4.8GT/S

RAM
: Kingston Value RAM KVR1333D3N9K3/6G 6GB 3X2GB 1333MHZ CL9 PC3-10600 Triple Channel Memory Kit

PSU: Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan

HDD
: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 3.5IN 500GB SATA2 8.5MS 7200RPM 16MB Cache Hard Drive

CASE: Coolermaster CM 690 Mid Tower Black ATX Case 5X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front USB Sound Firewire & eSATA

CD/DVD
: LG GH22NS30 Black DVD+RW 22X8X16 DVD-RW 22X6X16 DL 16X/12X 2MB SATA OEM

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition 64BIT

Any advice ?
I'm not sure what to choose between the GTX 260 core 216 and Radeon 4890.

Thanks in advance.

That all looks good. What is the price difference between 6GB and 12GB?

Finally, I think that the 4890 is a better card than the 260 (any variant) so that should answer your question.

I believe the WD Caviar Black drives are faster than the Seagate model you chose.

The 4890 would be better, but also costs ~$50 more. Wouldn't the correct comparison be 4890 vs. GTX 275?

It would if you compare overall specs but not price, i think.
So I'm probably buying the GTX 260 core 260 SC edition since it has 160$ off at NCIX.

Thanks alot guys.
