I would like to know which joystick with force feedback is better?
-Microsoft Force Feedback 2 or
-Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3D or
-Logitech Wingman Force 3D

I cannot seem to find that many games that would support Force Feedback. Any ideas on which games that are good for Force Feedback?
I don't think there are many games that support force feedback in Windows XP.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Pretty much the only games that support FF are racing games. If you're into racing games I'd suggest you get a wheel.

Microsoft Flight Simulator supports the Force Feedback sticks. It's practically gotta get more widespread, because the DirectX API includes it.

A lot of flight sims also support force feedback through DirectInput. I own a Sidewinder Force 2 stick, and it's been a pretty slick joystick. I've been getting into flight sims so much though lately that I might grow out of this one and upgrade to a stick/throttle combo with rudder pedals.

I forgot about those simulators, cuz I don't play them. Ok then. Get a joystick for simulators and a wheel for racing. But if you only want to buy one and want to dabble into simulators and other things non-racing related, then get a stick.

The original FF Pro is better in my opinion, but sticks suck even for flight sims...

mechwarrior does too, i have a strikeforce 3d:p its stronger and smoother then the force3d. i think it uses belts or something, stronger smoother, less chattering. the force3d uses gears, takes less space but less powerful and smooth:p thats about all iknow:)

It seems that the force feedback sticks are not too accurate when it comes to first person shooter. Anyone else got some input?
Thanks.

True FPS gamers use a keyboard and mouse. Joysticks are too slow and inaccurate.

Seeko: Right on! Add clunky, mechanical, and un-natural to that. Then you'd be even "righter" on :)

I use the Microsoft SideWinder force-feedback2 and play Combat Flight Simulator 2 (WWII Pacific Theater) ..........

The reviews I read (MAXIMUMPC) liked the MS FF2 the best, so I went with that one ............. the power converter is built right into the base of the joy-stick, so it cuts down on desk clutter and also adds weight to help stabilize the base .......... works great and lots of fun!

I have the original MS Force Feedback stick. I really like it. When I was playing X-Wing Alliance, it made the game so much more fun. Your ship gets hit and goes into a spin and the joystick rams itself to one side. You really have to fight to get your ship back. I always hated flying games with a regular joystick when something like that would happen because you would just pull the joystick back the other way with no resistance but the game didn't care because it was still spinning your plane/x-wing.

One thing I noticed is that when I "upgraded" from an old Turtle-Beach card to the SoundBlaster Live! the force feedback effects were severely diminished. It was like the joystick port on the card wasn't sending enough signal. Of course, the new sticks are all USB so hopefully that's not an issue anymore.

I have had a MS FF stick for the past few years and I have now complaints with it. It is big, bulky and heavy but that's good to manage stability in a joystick. It's great with an old game that I like Rogue Squadron. You can twist the stick and get rolls and tilts in some flight sims too. Good stick but I haven't needed an other one so I haven't tried them all.
