Need advice on cellphone....please help

hi, i need some advice from you guys about cellphone....
Currently i'm interested in the Motorola v690 which is $125 with T-Mobile service plan.
But i have another idea instead of buying this cellphone for $125 with service plan...:

1) Can i buy other cellphone such as motorola v600($0.01 with service plan) and then sell it on eBay for around $250. So that i can use that money to buy the v690 on eBay without service plan for $250? by doing this, i don't have to spend any single bucks on this cellphone....what do you guys think??

2) and i know that if i buy the cellphone with service plan, when it arrives, the sims card is already placed in the cellphone, so is the cellphone still considered 'unlocked'??

please....reply with those useful advice...no jokes please

Answer to your first question is sure, you can do that. Just don't bet on breaking even.

Second question, phone is not unlocked. You'll have to call T-mo and have them give you the code to unlock it. Just say you're going to Europe or something.
