I am building a computer for my parents and don't know where to start looking for a case.

The main requirements are size. It needs to be no more than 8 inches wide and 20 inches tall. I'm looking for three external 5.25" drive bays and two external 3.5" drive bays and a 300W power supply.

I'm hoping to not spend more than $100, and I am not sure where to start looking. If you could recommend good cases that fit these requirments, or good stores to buy from, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you :)

I just ordered the Antec SX830 from onvia it is a good looking well built case that meets your specs I think. They go for $80 and Onvia gives free shipping

The Antec is a great case; I like their black one.

I also like the Fong Kai FK320. You can get that at Directron.com for $99 with power supply (which you can upgrade to 300watt on their website).

The Antec SX803 is 8.1w X 20.6h, not to sure if it will work with your 8x20 max.

If it is to big, you should look at the InWin S500 at 7.75w x 16.5h.

If you can use the SX830, go for it though, sweet case.

I am looking into the Antec case, and remeasuring. (maybe I should re-maeasure until I get the results that I want ;) ). I will also take a look at the Inwin, thanks Moving Target.

If anyone has anymore suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I have used the Inwin cases in the past, but I wouldn't suggest using one today. I think you should take a really good look at the Fong Kai cases (black FK320 or the 603). ArsTechnica has some great case reviews, go read about the Fong Kai's over there. I have only been able to get these from Directron.com and they are worth every extra penny you might have to spend on them over an Inwin, etc.

I did look at the Fong Kai, but they were both two wide.

I forgot to mention, the case doesn't need to be fancy, just functional. It is replacing the cheapest mini-tower that my dad could find at the time.

dunno about the width, but the Enlight 7237 is a great case and can usually be had for around $60 shipped w/ a 300w power supply.
