I'm looking for floor-standing speakers at <AU$1000 range.

I've narrowed it down to:
Mission M73 AU$699
Mission M74 AU$999
Tannoy MX3 AU$729
Tannoy MX4 AU$1049

Anyone have any experience with any of them?
I haven't had the time to listen to all of them yet.
BTW prices are from www.campsiehifi.com.au
Thx.

Go to AVSForum.com and ask the people there. I would recommend checking out Paradigm, PSB, Klipsch, Definitive Technology, etc.

Bose? but they won't fit your pricerange or deliver the power and quality that the speakers you specified or speakers others reccomended could supply.

Those speakers get some good reviews! Aussie speakers being some of the best in the world at that price range. Check out VAF if you want to go a semi-DIY route. The DC-7's (which I have) would be on par or better than the speakers you listed, although they only have a 5.25" driver.

A good Australian website to visit is DVD Plaza, go to the discussion forums there, you should find heaps of information on home theater equipment, plus it's Australian = local prices! :)

Don't go Bose, not worth it, too expensive for what you get, plus sound quality = bleh!

Need anymore info, yell out! I take it your from Australia?
