Need advice on A+ study materials

I have been reading reviews of various A+ preperation materials on Amazon, but I cant seem to find any that are all inclusive. Id rather not purchase 2 or 3 differant A+ books to prepare for a single certification. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as being up to date and most of all accurate study materials .

Thanks

A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, 5th edition 🙂

I have that book

I was just trying to dig through a box in my room trying to find the title to suggest it to the OP. 🙂 Thanks for beating me, less work 😛

I had thought that A+ was worth little as well until i went looking for a computer related job and everyone wanted an A+ minimum. I guess over 10 years of computer related skills dont matter. I will investigate the book suggested Im not sure if Ive seen it yet.

Thanks

Anyone taken the tests lately? How much stuff is there about Windows 95, 98, ME, etc?
Not much from what I've heard. They've moved more to 2000/XP. Still helps to know the background and plenty of basic Interrupt memory addresses. 😛 I took it in 2001 and passed easily without studying. Just know a good deal about hardware and windows and you'll do fine.

I took some of the online sample test I have found and I did well on those. Ive been using/diagosing/repairing computers/electronic since the 8088 came out. So I am kind of hoping that it will be easy for me. I think Im going to go with the book that was suggested because there seems to be good reviews for it, and Amazon has a package deal, the A+ book suggested and the Net+ from the same author for the price Barns and Nobel sells just the A+ book for.

Thanks

Yeah, this site is great. Free study guides and practice exams.

I spent all summer reading the exam cram 2 book, it was a waste of time.

Just read these free study guides and take the exam.

Don't take the exam until you get above 80% consistently, just to be sure you will pass on test day.
