I'm looking into getting a GIGABYTE GV-NX76G512P-RH video card. HERE IS THE LINK TO THE VIDEO CARD

I'm upgrading from an older Chaintech AMD Athlon XP motherboard to a newer AMD Athlon 64 motherboard. My old motherboard has an AGP slot with a BFG Nvidia FX5200 256mb video card (AGP of course).

First, I want to know what you guys think of the video card I am debating on buying. I don't have a lot of cash, so I am left with getting what I can within the price limit of this new PCI-E video card.

I'm also wanting to know how this card will compair to my old FX5200 (8x AGP) 256mb.

I realize this new card isn't the top of the line, but I don't want to rely on a few small feedbacks left on newegg. I would like more input, if possible, before I buy.

Thanks.

Well, anything (and I mean ANY) video card that you can put in a PCI Expess slot will be superior to that FX5200. You'll go from not being able to play any game made in the past year to being able to play them at 1024x768 on medium settings. However, that card is overpriced. You can find the more powerful 7600GT's for cheaper.

Okay guys. First, thanks fer the info! :)

Lemme clear something up. That 256mb one you (pkrush) suggested is better than the 512mb one that I first mentioned?
