I am currently "in the market" for a LCD Monitor and would appreciate any advice on what to get, reviews, good deals, etc.

- I am used to a 19" CRT Monitor (18" Viewable) so something that is similar in size would be nice.

- Most of the time I am on the computer for word processing, AIM, IE, etc. - I don't play games much, but when I do, it's not a fast paced 1st-person shooter, it's more like Alpha Centauri, Tropico, The Sims, etc.

- I do watch DVD's on my computer frequently, so that would be a consideration.

- I have an ATI All-In-Wonder RADEON, so since I have the digital out on the video card, a matching digital in on the LCD would seem logical.

I've looked into the KDS Radius RAD-7, some Cornerstone stuff (since they have a presense here at AT), Samsung, and have found old good deals on Dell/Planar LCDs, but any help would be greatly appreciated. The Samsung 170T looks attractive because it has the digital ins... http://www.samsungmonitor.com/html/products/170t.htm

Samsung is good if you can find the right price. Yesterday I was in Circuit City and they had a new NEC with 17-inches viewable . . . about the size of many 19-in CRTs. The native res was UXGA (1600 x 1200) and it looked very sharp. The price was >$900.
